Story
Hi,
In March 2022 I am taking on the challenge to hike to Machu Picchu in Peru in aid of my local Air ambulance. I will be training very hard through out the summer to achieve this goal which involves hiking continually for around 8 -12 hours a day for 4 days camping over night, with the added difficulty of altitude and variation in temperatures from day to evening. I am very passionate about supporting the air ambulance as they play a vital role in saving lives by providing the best possible pre-hospital care & rapid transport to specialist hospitals, to those suffering serious injury and illness. living in the countryside and having a dangerous job and sport they unfortunately come to assistance more than we would expect. You will never know when you might need the air ambulance (hopefully never). They are a private charity who don't receive government funding and costs around £1700 for each call out they do. Therefore need all the support they can get. Throughout the year I will keep people updated on my journey to, through and from this challenge.
Any Donations would be hugely grateful, Every little bit will go a long way.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
