I am a 12 year old boy who has been inspired by the proclaimers song I gonna be (500 miles)  to take a personal challenge of raising money for cancer research.  My Papa has recently been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and is on a clinical trial part funded by cancer research.  I wanted to give something back and with my Papa being Scottish and me being a Proclaimers fan, the idea of walking 500 miles for both the charity and my Papa took root.

I am aiming to finish the walk by the end of May by walking 4 miles a day for 125 days.
