Fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I'm competing in the London Triathalon to help raise funds for Motor Neuron Disease on July 30th 2011. Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is a terrible condition- I have treated patients suffering with it and I am delighted to be able to support them and those whose lives are being affected by it.
This is going to be my first triathalon and the grueling training is already under way. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can't handle cold water in the slightest- so a 1500 metre swim in the Thames will be very interesting to say the least! Following this will be a 40 km cycle and a 10km run....lovely!
On top of this alcohol will be off the menu for July- this is no small thing as my birthday falls the week before the event. ...I hope that this fact alone will generate sympathy for me and encourage you all to donate to the good cause!!
I would be greatly appreciative if you could donate a few shillings, no matter how little, to help me achieve my financial goal- the price of a round of drinks (in central London!) would be fantastic! Thank you all in advance- I'll keep you updated on my progress...
Cheers
Tom.
