Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Family is very, very important to all of us and I'm sure at some time in your life cancer will have an impact on your life whether it is a family member, friend or yourself.
Me, my precious daughter and amazing mum are walking the race for life at South Park in Darlington on Sunday June 13th 2010. We have all had cancer touch us in many different ways. My mum and myself have experienced many close friends and family suffering and two people who were very special were auntie and giggles. To watch someone so close suffer through the illness is something I will never forget and would not wish on anyone. My precious daughter aged 6 has witnessed a classmate being diagnosed with Lukemia in late 2009, I think a lot of people forget that cancer does not just effect older people. My dad is a volunteer for St Teresa's hospice and he witnesses the suffering (and joy sometimes) on a daily basis. Without people supporting cancer research it takes away our hope for a future cure which I am sure will be the outcome one day. The work they do has an effect on millions of lives and it would be rare for someone to go their lifetime without witnessing the disease.
We are not athletics but want to do our bit and would love you to support our race for life by donating whatever you can. Please when reading this just spare a few moments to think about those you know or have known to suffer.
