Theo's Half Marathon Fundraiser for CALM

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·
"How are you?" has gone from being one of the easiest questions to answer to one of the hardest questions to answer for many young adults struggling with their mental health.
Mental health struggles and depression are illnesses that have longly affected my family throughout the generations. That's why on April 2nd 2023 and following a difficult summer for myself, I'll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for CALM.
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably. From advice on their site, through to free confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, they're there for whoever needs it, every day. No matter what. £8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
Going for runs alongside CALM's resources are some of the many things that helped me through my low moments and struggles that's why this 1/2 Marathon and training will feel extra special to me.
No matter how small or big your donation, it will go a long way in making a difference and starting those life-changing conversations. It will also undoubtedly push me to keep running!
Thank you! 🙌🏻
