Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Fit Gits are two couples; Peter & Julie Waller and Steve Chambers & Mandy Gower who have been setting challenging but enjoyable walking trips over recent years. Peter & Steve are old school friends and will both be 60 years of age later this year so this is just one of many challenges being set for this year, yes there may have been a bit of alcohol involved at the time!

Some of the members also have their own challenges to push through when we are out walking (and climbing!) including various degenerative problems such as severe arthritis (affecting both  feet and knees) etc.

Primarily, this is a personal challenge to demonstrate that despite the many physical issues between us, we as a team have the physical stamina and spirit to help each of us to achieve our goal of climbing the UKs three highest mountains Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

This  isn't a race, the idea is that we will all support each other to get to the top and if we can do that and support a very worthy cause at the same time that would be absolutely fabulous!  We are no longer doing this just for us, we are now also doing it to support Oasis Domestic Abuse Service and their  fantastic work supporting vulnerable families.

Even the smallest of donations will help to make a big difference to the work of this charity.  We would like to thank you for your encouragement and support so far
