Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am Will Kent. I have been blind since the age of 9 with Stargardt's Disease and have benefited from the NHS throughout my life. I want to give back to them.

As I am passionate about the Celts and ancient History and am a poet, I am going to follow an ancient Celtic route near my house up to a local hill fort dressed in full Celtic kit where I will recite poetry and sound an ancient instrument. The route is 7 miles long and the hill 280m high and I will do this walk every day for a week as my lock down exercise. Each day I will carry a painted stone to place on the cairn at the top and say 'Let their great burden be represented by this weight I have carried up here today.'

In ancient times the blind were considered gifted at poetry and music. That is why I am doing this...
