Thea was born on 4th September 2020 by ceasarean section at the Whittington hospital in North London, a healthy 7 pound bundle of deliciousness. It was only through foetal monitoring that we discovered that Thea was very unlikely to cope with going through a regular vaginal delivery. Without this knowledge we might have continued to labour with risks to our daughter that are too heartbreaking to think about. Not all mums across the UK are this lucky so we would like to support the Monitoring for Mums appeal run by Baby Lifeline which provide equipment and training across the country that make a real difference to thousands of families by reducing stillbirth rates, avoiding preventable brain injuries and promoting normal birth.
