Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page. The team running in the Belfast Marathon for The Link this year is made up of a mixture of staff and supporters of the work of the organisation in Newtownards. For some it will be the first time running in a marathon.

Your support of us in this mad venture will help and support some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged people locally, here in Newtownards. Those who use our services and find a support and a "home" here in a family atmosphere will really appreciate your help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

The Link works with vulnerable and at risk individuals, many of whom experience deprivation, exclusion or loneliness. We provide a range of facilities, programmes and support for young people; older people; children and young parents; migrant workers; people experiencing chronic addiction to alcohol; and churches and community groups wishing to engage in community and good relations work. Our work is underpinned by community development principles and our mission is to seek to accept and value individuals as they are, enabling them to recognise their self worth and encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
