NOT the London Marathon - Social Distancing Garage Challenge · 26 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Like many people, I was due to run the London Marathon on Sun April 26th and for obvious reasons that isn't going to be happening.

Being "fortunate" enough to have a treadmill in the garage, I have decided to go ahead anyway and attempt to complete a garage marathon !

In all honesty, I am not sure how this endeavour will play out as my training hadn't been going great and I was very relieved to "knock it on the head" over a month ago !

But where would the fun be if there wasn't some jeopardy about me failing spectacularly........

The point is to do something that, in some small way, says a big thank you to the amazing people working across all aspects of our Health Service and if we can raise a bit of cash...then even better.

I know there has been a lot of fundraising already and for many these are uncertain times financially...so don't feel bad if you you can't donate this time round....I'll be popping up again in October for when the re-arranged London Marathon hopefully takes place ! To support in spirit, please feel free to jog on the spot for 10 minutes on Sunday morning to donate in steps !!

Wish me luck !
