The Gunge Challenge is a fundraiser with a difference. It involves getting very messy in aid of raising money for Alzheimer’s. Although getting messy is considered fun, there is no fun in Alzheimer’s and Dementia. I, Leigh, the founder of Gunge Tank Hire LTD, lost my grandmother two years ago and she sadly had dementia. We are trying to raise as much money as possible to help find a cure. So we contacted actress Tanya Franks who is an avid supporter of promoting awareness and raising money for Alzheimer’s and Dementia due to her step-father living with Alzheimer’s disease. Since announcing the Gunge Challenge we raised £2000 on Tanya’s page for the Dementia Research Institute via Alzheimer’s Society. We want to share the support further and are now raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
