We provide crucial support for PCA members to protect wellbeing of players & families
Story
This page has been set up to log donations to the efforts of the 33 ECB First Class umpires as they attempt to walk the equivalant distance of walking from the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan to Old Trafford, Manchester and back in 3 months.
The total distance is 9,436 miles, which is almost the distance that they would, as group, cover on field whilst umpiring during a domestic cricket season. The idea for the walk came during the Covid 19 lock down, to not lose the miles that they would normally cover.
Any monies raised will go to 3 worthy charities:
Professional Cricketers Trust
Prostate Cancer
British Asian Trust
Please be generous in your support as the umpires set out either on foot, by bike, or on a rowing machine to cover what will prove to be a significant challenge and follow the highs and lows of the 33’s efforts on this page over the next couple of months!
