Story
As some of you may or may not know, our beloved sister Sharan sadly lost her short battle with bowel cancer in January 2021. She was only diagnosed 4 weeks before she died. Although she had some symptoms before this, diagnosis was slow, partly due to mild symptoms, and partly due to not meeting ‘normal’ criteria for bowel cancer in terms of age, gender, weight and not having any underlying health conditions.
Due to this, we have chosen to raise money and awareness for Bowel Cancer UK. They are the UK's leading bowel cancer charity, their vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease. They support research and campaign to save lives.
In honour of Sharan and in order to commemorate her 34 years of life, and to raise as much money as we can, family and friends will be taking on the following 34 challenges in 34 weeks, ending with a 35k walk on what would have been her 35th birthday.
