Story

Having supported the Heavy Metal Truants for several years, appearing at several Monster Rock Auctions and welcoming the riders into Download Festival 2015, we reckon it's time to put our paws to the pedals and take on this year’s ‘Revenge of the Fifth’ ride.

4 days before we hit the Dogtooth Stage, we'll be swapping our sequins for spandex and cycling the 164 miles from London to Donington to raise funds for three great charities, with all proceeds being split equally between Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline. And we won't be alone! Iron Maiden Manager, Rod Smallwood, and the Darklord himself, Alex Milas, as well as other metal fans, band members, media, managers, agents, record labels and music industry heavyweights, will be there to encourage us.

The gruelling 3 day ride begins at Alexandra Palace on 7th June and arrives lunchtime on 9th June for the start of the fun that is Download Festival. We'll be performing live on Saturday 10th June. Whether we'll be able to walk across the stage in our heels, is another story...!

We've started our training and we're absolutely terrified so please give generously and make our pain worth it!

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.
