Story

Thames Valley Police are competing in the ITV Text Santa 24hr Static Cycle Challenge against other teams.

The challenge is to cycle the distance from London to Lapland (1500miles) in 24hrs through static cycling and fundraising.

For every £1 raised the Thames Valley Police will get an extra mile.

The Thames Valley Police Team is made up of Police Officers from Oxford City. The Riders are -

PC Simon Collins, PC Mark Miller, PC Isaac Van Den Eshof, PC Paul Smith, PC John Wilson, PC James Lakner, PC Tom Mason, PC Olivia Micklewright, PC Ben Jones, PC Peter Ciechan, PC Olly Jacques, PC Dave Vermeulen, PC Alex Shepherd and DS James Blackmore plus guest appearances.

All the money raised is split equally between the six charities, Teenage Cancer Trust, Guide Dogs, WellChild, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Alzheimer's Society and Together for Short Lives. These charities all have vital projects in communities across the UK, which desperately need funding. Money raised by the Text Santa appeal will transform the lives of so many people who are reliant on support from these projects.
