Story
In June 2021 Terry was diagnosed with 2 types of bladder cancer that will result in him having surgery to have his bladder removed, As well as receiving chemotherapy to treat any remaining cancer that's left. Terry is still under going tests and treatment which is creating an extremely difficult time for him and his family. It would be nice to be able to do something positive from this negative experience.
Terry is not just a work colleague but a husband, dad/step-dad and friend to all. He has a kind nature and always willing to help others without questions asked, now it's our time to do something for him and show how much he means to us.
A group of us have decided to raise funds by covering a total of 500 miles throughout the month of September.
Darren Vaughan and Nick Muge are going to be cycling from Barnstaple to Paris, which is 407 miles which by itself is a massive portion of our goal.
Kevin Weston will be running a total of 93 miles throughout the month of September in order to help finish our goal of 500 miles.
After speaking to Terry, he once again, thinking of others , would like to take this opportunity to raise money for the bladder cancer charity. He is so overwhelmed with people's best wishes and support that they have shown him since his diagnoses.
Any donations big or small would gratefully received to support Terry's choice of charity and for the effort that people are putting in to achieve this.
Fight Bladder Cancer was founded and is run by patients and carers and how now grown to become the most active advocacy group and charity for bladder cancer in the UK. FBC provides information and support to everyone affected by bladder cancer, runs national and local awareness campaigns, supports medical research into better treatments and campaigns at the highest levels to turn the spotlight on this much-neglected cancer. We can only do our work with the support of individuals across the country who make fundraise and donate to us.
