Story

Half of the money I raise will go straight to our wonderful church of St Lawrence in Mereworth and the other half will go to the Friends of Kent Churches, towards grant aid for our counties churches.

The weather was perfect.  Andrew and I rode to Maidstone along the A26, round the churches there, and returned here through East and West Farleigh.

I visited 21 churches to Andrew’s 26.  This was because I wanted to get back home before 6.00 pm, whereas he visited the last church in West Malling at 6.00 pm.  Once again we had a puncture, but it was Andrew this time.  He had a long walk into Maidstone where we were introduced to the excellent Evans Cycles, who looked after him efficiently and speedily.  Their customers normally wear lycra so they thought we were a bit of an oddity, and pumped up all our tyres.  Because it was the Heritage Day, at All Saints Maidstone we had a cream tea at lunch, and climbed the tower to look down on the town, which was interesting.

I much appreciate your support.
