Story
Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me - so far I've raised over £300 (including gift aid) and still expecting a few more donations.
Half-marathon completed! I did it in 1hr 54 min - better than my target of between 2 hours and 2 hours 10 min and bringing me into a very respectable 1191st place (out of around 3700)! So, very happy! Legs took a while to recover though!
For some lovely photos of me running it, looking very cheerful and not hot or sweaty in the slightest, see http://www.marathon-photos.com/scripts/event_entry.py?event=Sports%2FCPUK%2F2010%2FScottish+Half+Marathon&new_search=1&match=23403

Thanks for visiting my justgiving page.
As you may know, I'm running my first half-marathon on the 23rd May in Edinburgh. I really enjoy running but this is my first attempt at a long distance and my training, to date, has been a little bit sporadic! I plan to change that over the next five weeks and I am actually looking forward to the challenge. My goal on the day is simply to complete the course without needing to walk any of it - and hopefully without collapsing!
I've chosen to raise money for Shelter- a charity that works to
alleviate the distress caused by
homelessness and bad housing. Please consider sponsoring me- its a worthwhile cause and it will really motivate me over the coming weeks!
Many thanks for your support!
