I'm raising money for PEAT NI. They are an unfunded, parent led, autism charity, who offer advice and training to parents with autistic children, though they also do so much more.

Running a marathon is a personal challenge that was on my bucket list for a while. Completing the 2015 Belfast one felt amazing, but while I was happy (very happy!) with myself, I knew I wasn't satisfied with how I did. I really wanted to finish in under six hours, and I really really wanted to run the whole thing. As it was, I cramped up halfway round (darn Antrim Road! :-D ) and ended up finishing in 6:25:17, having walked a lot of the 26.2 miles.
So. This year's target is under five hours, and to run/jog/shambolically amble my way round the complete course. No walking! Also, I would like to finish better than eleventh-last this time. That's right. Last time, there were a whole ten people behind me.
I know we all have a lot of things competing for our limited financial resources, but if y'all have a quid or two spare, please send anything you can this way.
Hopefully, I will see you on the flip side, sweaty faced, medal in hand and swearing on all that's holy never to do it again, having left my knee caps somewhere in Duncrue Industrial Estate.
