Hi, I'm Tom, one of the sponsor dogs at Oldies Club, a small volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK.

Update: Thank you very much to everyone who has donated towards my vet bills. As you can see with the new photo, I only have one eye now, but I am still incredibly handsome and enjoying life with my forever-foster family :-)

I'm in a forever foster home and Oldies Club covers all of my vet bills. Earlier this week, my fosterer noticed one of my eyes had suddenly gone cloudy so I was taken to the vets. Unfortunately, it is a form of retinal detachment and so today I am having my eye removed :-(

I'm having some help writing this as I am going to be feeling woozy today and having a bit of a nap while the vet does their work. Oldies Club doesn't know how much my operation will cost yet, so we are starting this page off with a zero total and we would all be very grateful for any amount you can spare towards the cost. Please keep me in your thoughts - and please share this with your dog-loving family, friends, colleagues etc. as they might like to help me too.

Please note that should Oldies Club supporters be generous enough to donate more than is needed for my vet bills/care, any excess money will be directed to the charity’s general fund and used to help other older dogs in its care.
