We have just 7 weeks to go before I climb Ben Nevis, those who know me also know what a challenge this is for me and those who know Amy know why I'm doing it, PLEASE take a minute just to read my Just Giving Page, and if you could sponsor me just a £1 I would be ever so grateful xxx
Hi and a BIG thank you for visiting our page.My Daughter Amy has Dravet Syndrome and was diagnosed just before her third birthday, it is a rare, severe and life threatening form of epilepsy and with it comes a long list of added problems such as learning disibilities. Everytime Amy has a seizure, although i don't say it out loud i fear that this may be the one to take her life. Amy is 16 and has never left the house alone, will never go to uni, will never have children of her own may never know the joy of falling in love the thrill of learning to drive, buying her first house the list goes on, but she is the bravest most loving and beautiful girl whom i am so very proud of. On the 30th June next year myself, my Husband Stephen and a group of very Special Dravet parents will be doing a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis, to raise money for the Charity Dravet Syndrome uk, this Charity is very special to me and has given us so much help, advice and support i found the Charity last year after spending 13 years since Amy's diagnosis feeling so alone. Finding the Charity has changed things for us in a big way and we want to give something back and help reach other Families effected by Dravet Syndrome. Our aim as a group is to raise £10,000 doing the climb. This money will go towards funding a Research project.Dravet Syndrome uk is the only uk charity for families effected by Dravet Syndrome. Your donation means more than words can say, every pound counts. Please help us reach our target. With lots of love, Teresa and Stephen. xxxx
