Telent’s Rail Business Development team will be climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales for the Three Peaks Challenge.
Raising money for Railway Children, the team, consisting of Kevin Bonanno, Ken Kyle, Laura Powell and Mark Ingham will be making the journey between the three locations by rail from June 9th to June 11th. Starting in Crewe, the group will be travelling to Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in Cumbria, England, and finally Ben Nevis in Scotland, with the mountains totalling more than 3400 metres in height.
An established non-profit organisation, Railway Children has been fighting for vulnerable and homeless young people for more than 22 years. Its work includes regular direct outreach to identify underage sleepers, raising awareness in local communities and influencing increased funding and support from the government. Reaching more than 275,000 children in India, the UK and East Africa, the charity hosts an annual fundraiser every year to raise awareness of the cause.
