Team Struthers (Billy & Laura) have decided to run the Great North Run Half Marathon in aid of a charity very close to us. As I am sure you will know, Billys dad was recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, shortly after undergoing a Kidney Transplant. This was a huge shock to the whole family and there are still so many unknown areas for us all.

We have decided to set ourselves the challenge of running a Half Marathon and hope to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. This charity funds research into all aspects of Dementia, which include Alzheimer's Disease as well as Vascular Dementia as there is currently no cure for the Dementia illness.

Any contribution you can give would be a great help. We (obviously Laura), need all the help we can get to give us a push around that route :)
