Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our just giving page. We are four mad people who have signed up for the London Marathon.
Kirste was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2005 and now has secondary cancer in her lungs. Despite that she has ran 18 marathons and is prepared to do it again! Kirste's top tips for running are, start slow, keep slow, finish slow, tell everyone how fast you were at work the next day.
John hates running - he hates marathons - he hates Kirste for making him do this. This will be Johns 6th marathon.
Anna likes to winge at the start - winge one mile in - winge throughout. Despite this she is now running her 5th marathon.
Rachel is the normal one of the team...she is a qualified running coach and is never seen without a smile on her face. We believe she was spotted smiling whilst running too - yes she is not normal. Whilst one of the youngest in the team she is definitely the grown up out of us all!
We all realise that there are many brave souls running, jogging, walking or otherwise aiming on getting around the course all with very good causes relying on donations. Please feel free to split your sponsorship between these causes but please don't forget the vital research being conducted by the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
