Story
The quick story is this: Our friend Ryan was diagnosed with Sarcoma in February 2020. Now 7 of his closest friends run the London Marathon together to raise vital funds for Sarcoma UK.
For the full story, read on.
Ryan got his diagnosis of Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer in 2020. He has fought this valiantly, undergoing considerable amounts of chemotherapy and an operation on his leg to remove the initial tumor. When it first came to shaving his head, 11 of us joined him and raised over £5000 for the charity.
His condition was up and down, but never really improved. He means the world to us all.
Since then, fundraising has continued with Same and Luke doing fundraising events. Which brings us to how all of this happened. After running the 2022 London Marathon, the group chat suggested that if Sam could do the marathon then everyone could. So we entered the ballot. Then we decided we would do it, ballot place or not, all 6 of us, for one great cause.
In December of 2022, Ryan passed away. Now our fundraising means more than ever before.
We're a team. Team Ryprr, running for our friend Ryan and raising money for Sarcoma UK. Our total is the sum of all of our individual pledges and is a huge total. We have one person who runs for fun and the rest of us are a mix of all abilities and laziness!
Your donations will mean the absolute world.
