The McCartney family will be taking on a range of challenges throughout July to help Love for Life reach every Year 8 pupil across Northern Ireland! 

In July.... 

Steve will do 8 10k runs   

Caleb will do 8 10k cycles (setting the pace for Steve!)         

Lucy will scoot/walk around 8 different parks

All the money raised will go towards helping Love for Life provide "Unlocked", a resource for every post-primary school that will help support our year 8 pupils as they begin school in September - we need your help to make it happen. We've all experienced a lot of change in recent months, but children heading into Year 8 have even more change to come.This would have been an unsettling time anyway, but in current circumstances our Year 8 pupils face an even bigger upheaval. 

'Unlocked' is specifically written with Year 8 pupils in mind- pupils who had to leave their primary schools so unexpectedly in March and who are starting post primary in September, but in a very different context to the one they had imagined. 

'Unlocked' is a programme with three 30-minute downloadable sessions, that can be used in the classroom or at home. Our team will lead the sessions through videos and there will be opportunities for pupils to pause and reflect on their experiences over these months during COVID- 19.

Steve, Caleb and Lucy appreciate every pound and penny you can throw into the pot, and it will help to keep us motivated!! And why don't you come join in, in a socially distant manner? We'll see you in one of the 8 parks we visit... All ideas welcome!
