Story
Charlie Grist and his family started a marathon over 3 years ago they did not sign up for. Their marathon is the hardest and most heartbreaking journey any family can endure. Currently they are still running despite having hit the infamous marathon wall. Charlie is receiving urgent treatment at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. He will need to return to remission before being given a bone marrow transplant. His family need our love, thoughts and prayers. I will be running just over 26 miles in London next April. It will be tough going and it might hurt a bit but I trust that God will get me over the line. Please support me in my fund raising to help get Charlie, his family and many other families, facing similar circumstances, over their line.
A message from the Anthony Nolan Charity.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
