Story

Hi thanks for visiting our just giving page,

My amazing, funny, truly fab dad Tony Rushent died bravely in March of this year after an 18 month battle with prostate cancer.

Before dad's illness we had never come into contact with any hospice - but our experience of the dedicated and wonderful people at St Margaret's in Taunton has been a complete revelation to our family.

The hospice offered comfort, assurance, respect, dignity and humour to dad during this terrible time and has been an inspiration.  This care extended to mum and the many visitors dad received over a six week period.

As a family we have decided to support St Margaret's 34 mile, Great Somerset Walk which takes place on 15th May 2011.  We will be doing the walk together including dad's six grandchildren and of course the dogs - I hope you can support us in helping the hospices care for all of those children and grown-ups who may one day need their exceptional services.

One of the things dad said to me in the hospice was "get your trainers back on and please raise some money for the hospice"  so dad my trainers are back on for you now xx

My brother says,  it's just a Walk but I know our legs are going to ache!

Please dig deep and help us out, these nurses and doctors are truly amazing and all very dedicated.

Thanks for Helping.
Love Hev, Jay & Mia xxxx
