Story
Hello, my name is Celina Leatherland.
Ian Leatherland and Stefan Bullworthy are running in the 2016 London marathon. They are raising money for Neuroblastoma UK and this is why:
This is Hannah, my beautiful daughter. At the age of three, she developed painful legs and was generally unwell. Following numerous tests, she was diagnosed with the rare childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma, I had never heard of this type of cancer before, but had to learn fast.
Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge guided us through Hannahs' treatment, including operations, chemotherapy and stem cell replacement. Hannah attended nursery and school in between hospital visits. She loved dressing up and always had a smile, enjoying life even though it was tough. She was brave throughout her illness, but sadly died on May 11th, 1997, just a week after her fifth birthday.
By donating money to Neuroblastoma UK, we can help them continue their work in raising awareness of the disease, funding research and supporting those children and families still going through this life changing situation. This will hopefully make a difference to their outcomes in Hannah's memory.
