Story
Hi everybody,
So with the COVID-19 lockdown still going on our planned events have unfortunately been cancelled. They will go ahead in 2021 however and we are still signed up. Hugh and I are disappointed not to be running this summer but it just gives us a little more time for training and raising money for an amazing charity.
So what are we doing?
Man vs trinity.
Three wild runs, all off road, encompassing hills, valleys, lakes, sea, beaches, coves, cliffs and mountains in three different places across the UK.
Man vs Coast is a 22-mile jaunt from St. Michael's Mount near Penzance to Land's End, in Cornwall.
Man vs Lakes is a 28 mile leg buster including 4200ft of ascent through the Lake District, starting with a crossing of Morecambe Bay, heading up to Lake Windermere and ending near Coniston.
Man vs. Mountain will take us on a quick yomp over Snowdon, Wales' highest peak in a total of 22 miles with 5055 feet of ascent.
We are running these in aid of StrongMen, a charity set up to help men who have suffered bereavements. If you know my brother and I then you probably know that we lost our parents at a relatively young age, both from the big C and to be honest, I wish there had been an organisation like this around at the time.
Training is going well and Hugh and I are getting out as much as possible while maintaining social distancing.
Keep up with the training on my website (where you can also find a fiction or two if that floats your boat.)
