We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This September, I’m taking on the Shine half marathon night walk for the fourth time, to help Cancer Research UK fund their life-saving work.  When Nicky was diagnosed with cancer, I vowed to do something productive to help.  I don't want others to lose someone so young to cancer.  Shine is particularly poignant, as we have named a star for Nicky, so I know he will be with me on the walk.  My parents will also be walking with me in their second Shine walk.

I know I ask for money every year and I am so grateful to those of you who can donate even a small amount.  Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.www.shinewalk.org
