This September, I’m taking on the Shine half marathon night walk for the fourth time, to help Cancer Research UK fund their life-saving work.  When Nicky was diagnosed with cancer, I vowed to do something productive to help.  I don't want others to lose someone so young to cancer.  Shine is particularly poignant, as we have named a star for Nicky, so I know he will be with me on the walk.  My parents will also be walking with me in their second Shine walk.

I know I ask for money every year and I am so grateful to those of you who can donate even a small amount.  Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years.
