Story
The Headway Sussex BM Ride team are cycling 50km during the Brighton Marathon Weekend to raise much needed funds for this charity who support people living with an acquired brain injury.
A brain injury can be life changing and impact on many areas of a person’s life. That’s why Headway Sussex are there to help. They support people living with an acquired brain injury and their family carers across Sussex. This can be the result of many different causes including stroke, accident, tumour, infection, sporting injury or assault.
The team are all involved with people who have sustained an acquired brain injury. Rachel and Ian work for HCML who specialise in providing case management and treatment services to the insurance industry, solicitors and the corporate & public sectors; assisting injured and ill individuals to recover and return to work or to their pre-injury condition. Anastasia is an Independent Woodwork Leader at Headway's Newick centre and Penny supports a young lady with an ABI and has worked with her for the last 5 years. She attends the Worthing Headway group and Penny is usually there with her.
Between the four of them, they are hoping to raise £1500 to fund existing services and allow the charity reach more people across Sussex. Please support them however you can.
