We provide holistic care and support to those affected by life-limiting illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Team Forte is made up of family members and friends of Elizabeth Forte who passed away in February 2011 in the care of St. Michael's Hospice in Hastings. We had never experienced a hospice until Elizabeth became ill but were amazed and humbled at the quality of care and the dedication, compassion and support of the staff and volunteers at St. Michael's. They enabled us to make the most of our precious last months with Elizabeth and for this we will be forever in their debt.

Elizabeth's family has made a commitment to support the great work of St. Michael's Hospice in her memory and Alice Forte has already raised valuable funds by completing the 2011 Hastings Half Marathon. The Castle Cycle Challenge organised by the Rotary Club of St. Leonards on Sunday 17th April is our next fund-raising opportunity. Team Forte members will be cycling the 40 mile route between Hastings Castle and Herstmonceux Castle and we hope to raise at least £500 for St. Michael's Hospice.

Despite the invaluable service provided by the hospice, only 30% of its total funding comes from the government. For the rest, it depends heavily on the generosity of local people.

Please help us to support St. Michael's Hospice by sponsoring Team Forte in the Castle Cycle Challenge.

Every little counts.

Thank you.
