The Surrey Bacchus Half Marathon runs out of the Denbies Wine Estate, one of the many high-quality English vineyards across the country.

Marshalled by meandering wine runners (and Masters of Wine) Susie Barrie and Peter Richards, together with Lynne Cox (née Whitaker), Team Bacchus is a motley cru of international wine professionals keen to champion not only the English wine scene but also the excellent work of the Vintners' Foundation, which supports those affected by alcohol abuse, funds alcohol education initiatives and assists both research and schools. The team will also be raising a glass to the memory of former Master of the Vintners' Company, Michael Cox.
