Pine Tree Camp opened its gates in 1945 as a summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Over the years, it has evolved into a place where children and adults with disabilities are able to participate in all the recreational activities for which Maine is known all year long. The barrier-free setting, along with an amazing staff, ensure that activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, boating and even camping in a tent under the stars are completely accessible to all. Participating in activities that take people beyond their disability has a tremendous impact. It builds self-esteem and self-confidence. That experience coupled with meeting friends who understand and experiencing the feeling of acceptance is transformational. Pine Tree Camp welcomes all who could benefit regardless of their ability to pay tuition. All proceeds from the Snowmobile Ride-In will go to Pine Tree Camp's fund to ensure this "Open Door Policy" remains in effect.

Get to know Charles Lever
Celebrity rider Charles Lever and his wife Nicole are the humans behind the puppy dog social media sensation: @TatumTalks. After a rough start, this beloved pup ended up in his forever home with Charles and Nicole in Bangor. After learning the name Tatum means “cheerful bringer of joy” they knew that’s why he was given a second chance at a better life. He’s a bright light for nearly four million social media followers and even has his own PO box for snail mail from fans. Charles and Nicole were Bangor High School sweethearts and Tatum couldn’t be happier to be a part of their love story.

Have you ridden a snowmobile before?
Yes I have. I haven’t ridden for a few years and I don’t own a snowmobile but I’ve always wanted to get back on one. The concept of the Egg Ride is super silly and super fun. It’s a different way to raise money and draw attention and I can’t wait to be a part of it!

Do you like winter?
I don’t mind it…. I prefer cold weather to really hot weather…. So, if I’m out doing something fun in the snow, winter isn’t all that bad.

Why is this snowmobile ride meaningful to you?
I grew up in a low income household and I believe everyone deserves a chance to go to camp. I’m glad to be a part of breaking down the financial barriers for someone who wants to go to Pine Tree Camp. I think the Egg Ride will resonate with a lot of Tatum’s fans. We have a diverse audience who are committed to supporting good causes that help others.

What is your favorite song right now?
I love music so it’s always changing and it’s always different. Let’s go with Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down by P.Diddy. It has a really good beat and it gets you going. The message kind of speaks for itself: you can’t hold me down!
