Sophie’s September Cycle Challenge · 24 September 2022

'C' through September is a fun challenge to help raise funds and awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM). All you need to do is choose your 'C' activity to complete during September 2022, and raise £100

Story

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month  #CCAM and the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group are asking people to choose a challenge starting with C to help raise vital funds.

Sophie has chosen to do a cycle challenge which will see her complete a weekly mini challenge, building up to a final 10km cycle around Arabian Ranches.

Despite being in maintenance phase, Sophie is still undergoing treatment for leukaemia, dealing with chemotherapy (and it’s side effects) every day. This will be a huge challenge for her.  Added to the fact that it will be super hot and humid (30° at 6am and 90% humidity last year)

Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers.
