HiyaJ!                                                                                              You may be aware that I am involved in a fantastic organisation called the Go Girls

Go Girls is an organisation set up between Charter housing and Bron Afon. We are a group of girls from Newport, Caerphilly and Torfaen but now we intend to expand, teaching others to be able to cope with the challenges of life. Our aim is to build confidence and self-esteem by forming a strong bond and empowering each other by tackling issues that matter to us. It is an opportunity to take part in issue based workshops every few weeks with support meetings when needed. Go Girls builds the resilience of young women. We have recently been recognized for our fantastic work by being  nominated for Community-led initiative of the year at the UK Housing Awards 2014  We are now currently in the process of delivering our workshops around the local boroughs but we are hopeful in being able to share worldwide for women who want support.

In August we are hoping to travel to Belarus to experience what life is like for the orphans who live there. We will be refurbishing the orphanage to make it a more suitable and child friendly environment, spending quality time with the children who unfortunately do not get that opportunity often and an opportunity for us to appreciate how lucky we are to live the lives that we do and not take what we have for granted
