Story
10th September 2010 in association with actionchallenge.com
This September I will be embarking on the biggest challenge of my life... that is Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Rising 19,340 feet above sea level, Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. Throughout my 8 days of trekking I will play witness to an example of virtually every ecosystem on earth - glacier, snowfields, deserts, alpine moorland, savannah, and tropical jungle.
My story begins with a very special boy who was cared for by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit back in 2008. Nothing could have prepared me for what I was to experience that day.
Since that time I have been amazed by the amount of people within my network of friends who have not only been touched by, but also have a special place in their heart for, this incredible unit.
The work these guys do is truly "Above and Beyond", managing to see over 70,000 children each year.
This hospital and its staff need our help!!
With your donations we can help to achieve the expansion of this Neonatal Intensive Care ward, making it possible to give more little miracles to more families every day.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, your support will be greatly
