Following the success of Movember – where the TGI Golf Retail Team raised more than £2,500 by growing facial fuzz to highlight men’s health issues – the guys are gearing up to take on the Longest Golf Day Challenge – playing four rounds of golf at four different courses in just one day!
The marathon event will be staged on Wednesday, June 20, when Managing Director Eddie Reid and Retail Consultants Ian Martin, Chris Taylor and Fraser Carr, will play at TGI Golf Partner courses Paisley, Ralston, Elderslie and Ranfurly Castle.
The team will face an early start as they tee off at 4.30am with the aim of finishing around 9pm. Product and Events Manager Adele McLean will accompany the lads providing travel, food and collecting donations from fellow golfers.
There will be a little added spice to proceedings with national pride at stake as Scotland (Eddie and Fraser) take on England (Ian and Chris) in a 72 hole matchplay event.
Money raised will go to the Make A Wish Foundation, which the TGI Golf Partnership has been supporting this year having already raised £2,018 at the TGI Golf Partners Golf Days throughout May.
The team appreciate that in these difficult times you are bombarded with this type of request but if you could donate from £1 up to a maximum of £10 pounds it would help their cause significantly.
You will be able to keep up with the team’s progress on the day by following them on Twitter - @TGI_eddiereid. @TGI_ChrisTaylor, @TGI_IanMartin and @TGI_FraserCarr. There’ll also be updates throughout the day via the group’s central Twitter feed @TGI_Golf.
