Story
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
Thank you for taking time to visit my page, on the 21st of April I will be running the London Marathon with the hope to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society to help them continue to find a cure to bring an end to the devastation that Alzheimer’s causes.
Last year my father passed away and after witnessing first hand how cruel this disease can be, both for the person suffering from dementia and their families. I would do anything for a cure and the wish that others don’t have to suffer.
Running the London Marathon is a once in a lifetime opportunity, which I am extremely grateful to my amazing running club Burden Road runners. I hope to do them proud and most importantly my Dad. Who will probably be looking down on me calling me a “bloody idiot” for going out running.
