On the 1st of April 2023 we are attempting to walk the entire Telford T50 route which is a 50 mile walk taking in some of the most amazing beauty spots and views in and around Telford that most people don’t even know exist!

We are aiming to complete the entire thing in just 24 hours to raise £10,000 for Severn Hospice.

We all have personal experience of the incredible work that Severn Hospice does to help families at such a difficult time and would like to give something back.

My late wife Julia Paterson was cared for both at the hospice and at home in her final days following her fight with breast cancer in 2008 at just 28 along with my uncle John who spent his last days at the hospice just months before. 

Chun and G also have close ties to the hospice after their colleague and friend of 23 years June White passed away at just 58 years old in 2018.

The care and dignity that both patients and families are treated with at such a difficult time is second to none and they truly are phenomenal people that work there.

Most people we have spoken to can relate too and so we would love for as many of you as possible to join us in our fundraising efforts and help us to smash our target.

We will be posting regular updates with details on weekly training walks along with further details of other events between now and then including a Charity Ball and Auction at the Telford Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa on 11th March 2023.

Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help.It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you.For every £1 you donate, they will spend 83p directly on care - and use the remaining 17p to make another £1.Last year, all those individual donations helped provide more than £9m of caring services.
