Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm Sylvia Claypole, 68 years old, a mother of two and married to Darryl for 47 years. Tom my eldest is 40 and daughter Liz 38. Both children have been plagued with Crohn's disease which is a debilitating illness and has caused both of them a great deal of pain and difficulties.
Last August we were however dealt the most devastating news possible. Tom who had suffered with headaches for a number of months, been to and from the doctors numerous times, and spent Christmas before last in hospital battling Crohn's was diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma multiform Brain Tumour.
Our lives were turned upside down, his partner (now wife) Tammy and his two children Shadean and Chardonnay were heartbroken, as were we all. As a family we decided to do something positive to try and make a difference.
My challenge in aid of Brain Tumour Research, is to perform a Wing Walk on a biplane from Wickenby Airfield in Lincolnshire on the 27th August at 9am.
So very little money is raised for Brain Tumour Research and less than 1% of all cancer charity income is set aside for this awful disease. People under 40 years old are more susceptible to Brain Tumours, we are therefore trying to make what difference we possibly can by undertaking such challenges to raise much needed funds and awareness.
Please support my efforts on behalf of Brain Tumour Research by contributing, no matter how big or small, every penny helps, and is very gratefully received.
You can also find me on Facebook, where you can also link to justgiving.
Thank you
Sylvia
