Story
Hi, my name is Sybil and I came into the care of Oldies Club, a volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs, in September 2018 after being found as a stray :-(. I was very grateful to find myself in a loving foster home after that experience.
Unfortunately, after being taken to the vets for an initial check-up following my arrival, Oldies Club has been advised that my right mammaries need to be removed. I am booked in to have surgery on Wednesday 3rd October.
Update: Sybil had her surgery and is back at her foster home recovering. We will update the page further when we have details of the vet costs. Thank you so much to those who have donated so far. In addition to donations received via this page, we've also received £20 in direct donations. Thank you :-)
Oldies Club is not yet sure of the cost of the surgery, but since it is expected to cost the charity hundreds of pounds, I have set up this fundraising page – with a little help – in the hope of kind souls like you making a donation to help the charity with the costs.
Please donate what you can – and please share this page with your dog-loving family and friends in the hope that they may be able to help too.
We will update the page once we know what the operation – and any subsequent veterinary care – has cost.
Please keep me in your thoughts tomorrow – I’m only little!
With thanks from me and the volunteers at Oldies Club.
Love, Sybil xxx
Should Oldies Club supporters be generous enough to donate more
than is needed for my vet bills/care, any excess money will be directed
to the charity’s general fund and used to help other older dogs in its
care.
