Fundraising for THE CHRISTIE CHARITY
Story
During the pandemic, Alicia and I have taken up the fantastic sport of road cycling. It has enabled us to explore far and wide, with the Peak District being one of our favourite spots. This is our first 100 mile cycle, so it will be a massive shock to the system, but having a goal of fundraising for The Christie is the motivation we need!
The Christie provides an incredibly important service that has been heavily impacted by the pandemic, with charity income dropping by at least 25%.
Alicia is a Therapeutic Radiographer at The Christie Salford satellite centre delivering specialised radiotherapy treatment to cancer patients throughout this challenging pandemic, and she has seen first hand the impact the pandemic has caused on the Christie charity. We can't let this go on any longer. Therefore we need you to make a real difference and strengthen the Christie charity to further support and encourage patients battling with cancer.
