Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our wonderful Mum - Kanchan Bhagat passed away on 14.11.20 at Hammersmith hospital following a short illness.
Mum suffered with kidney disease for many years and in 2011 under went a kidney transplant. The last 9.5 years have been filled with many great memories including weddings, the birth of her 3 grandchildren, completing 25 years of service at Sainsbury’s and many holidays abroad. Mum led a full life and we will cherish those memories to help us through the dark days ahead. We will miss her laughter, infectious smile and her warm and generous nature. She was an excellent cook and food was her way of showing her love to all those around her. She was the most selfless person who did so much for others and had an amazing ability to put those around her at ease.
We are completely heartbroken at Mum’s untimely passing but as a family have decided to raise funds for the renal/transplant team at Hammersmith hospital, to help improve the services for other renal patients. We feel there is no better way to say thank you and to show our gratitude for all they have done over the past 10 years.
Mum’s wish was also to raise awareness of organ donation particularly within the wider Indian community. So please use this opportunity to consider signing the register and talking to your family about your wishes. As a family we will gather strength in knowing the difference transplant made to the quality of mum’s life and hold those precious memories forever. http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/
