Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

WELL I DID IT

I went round Sefton Park in
1 hour + ½ a second that reads 01:00:05 on the big clock.

I thank you on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.  The charity who grant wishes to very sick children, for your very generous support

Borris my companion in the race (he is my 'Fitbug' pedometer), was kept very busy. I am going to continue training and taking part in runs and walks.  So BE WARNED next year when I take part in the Hydro Run, raising more money for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, I might just run. So I’ll be after your cash again

I am going to carry on raising money for Make-A-Wish, Every lb .5K I loose from now till May next year I will give Make-A-Wish a £1. Even if I put weight on  if it comes off then I pay a £1.

The 'Fitbug' Team have helped me to work up to taking part in the race. They have good peaces on their web site for training for beginners through to advanced runners.

If you want to know more about me and my efforts to get healthier why not take a look here and see my Blog Operation Mother of the Bride but I warn you it's not a pretty sight.

Thank you for all your support and good wishes see you next year.
