Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a proud Trustee of the MAXIMUS Foundation and know first hand the amazing ways we support the community. As a Trustee I get to be trailblazer for the Bigger Walk 2020. Now I am more likely to be trailing a blaze than blazing a trail however I am taking my role seriously and have committed myself to doing 5 a day in 25 days. This has nothing to do with fruit and veg, unless Haribo Fangtastics count, so what I am intending to do is 5km or 5 miles, walking or on a stationary bike, for 25 days in July. Why 25 days rather than 31 you might ask.....well 31 days in a row with no breaks might just kill me and also the first of the month slipped by me yesterday so I am starting today. Also 25 seems a good number as my wedding anniversary is on the 25th of this month, I had 25 sessions of radiotherapy at the end of last year and this is my first physical challenge since then but mainly because I like numbers that are divisible by 5 (heating, volume etc).

I am the trailblazer for the Clinical Standards Team and I have called us the CST Shufflers and over the 25 days many of my colleagues will be joining me either individually or in groups to complete a virtual walk/bike ride with me. I would be delighted if anyone else wanted to become a CST Shuffler for a day and join me at some point through the month.
