Our gorgeous daughter, Jessica Henderson, was born on 17 June 2018 and she truly was perfect.

In her short life, she has endured more than anyone has in their lives. She defied the odds at every turn, changed the face of medicine and fought so bravely with every operation and procedure. Unfortunately, her last battle was one too many and we had to say goodbye to our baby.

We are asking, instead of flowers for the service, if people could kindly donate to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Charity in memory of Jessica.

PICU have been a big part of ours and Jessica’s journey. They always made us feel welcome, nothing was ever any trouble and they became like a second family to us. This became apparent, when the word spread of Jessica’s passing, there was a que outside Jessica’s room of nurses, doctors and staff coming to pay their respects. We cannot thank everyone one on the ward enough for everything they have done for Jessica. 

All money raised, will go towards helping them purchase essential equipment to help babies and children like Jessica.

If we had to sum Jessica up in one word, it is inspirational.

We, her grandparents and all other family and friends are going to truly miss our beautiful little girl.
