Story
Hello, I was given a year to live back in 2014 and despite it being 8 years now right now the tumour will never been gone. Our children might be older now since my diagnosis but we didn’t have Max and Lauren for me not to be here. I love them, my husband Owen, family and friends so much and am determined to help find a cure. Clearly this fundraising is not just for me, there are thousands of people who sadly suffer with this awful cancer too. Would you like to join me in supporting a good cause?
I've just decided to be a volunteer in raising money for Brain Tumour Research and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £1 or £500. I really appreciate how hard it is with money at the moment so every little bit helps.
I have included information about Brain Tumours below. Thank you so much for your support.
“Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
We are building a network of experts in sustainable research at dedicated Centres of Excellence whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally.
We are the only national charity in the UK that is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and we are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
Help us fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.”
