Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was diagnosed with Myeloma in August 2013 and had a Stem Cell transplant in March this year. Myeloma is cancer of the plasma cells, which are found in the bone marrow and are responsible for protecting the body against infection. The defective plasma cells multiply and displace the healthy bone marrow. Myeloma usually occurs in several areas of the body and symptoms include bone pain, bone fractures, infection and fatigue.

Myeloma can be treated, but it cannot yet be cured and so I really want to raise funds for Myeloma UK so that a cure can be found.

November is Myeloma Coffee Morning Month, so I have decided to  host a coffee morning at Gliffaes on Thursday 27th November from 10am to 12pm. If you cannot come along, I hope you might be kind enough to make a donation here instead. I am really grateful for any donations you make to my Just Giving page.

Next year, when I am even fitter, I plan to do some bigger and more active fundraising challenges!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
